Whether your company is hosting an annual holiday luncheon, a department celebration, a staff appreciation event, or a casual office get-together, it only takes one donation basket by the tree to turn your gathering into something meaningful. Many companies opt to replace their traditional white elephant gift exchange with a donation drive, enabling everyone to participate in something that truly matters.
All donated items support Suncoast Voices for Children and stay local to help abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Pinellas and Pasco counties who are in or at risk of entering foster care. The Holiday Care Challenge makes it simple for workplaces to give back during the holiday season while strengthening team spirit and supporting local families in need.
Simple Steps to Host at Work
Step 1
Register your donation drive using our simple online form at holidaycarechallenge.com/register so we know you are participating. This helps us track locations that may require a pickup in December.
Step 2
Choose any workplace gathering you already have planned. A holiday party, cookie exchange, staff breakfast, team meeting, or office luncheon can all easily include a donation basket. No need to plan anything extra.
Step 3
Set up a simple donation box in a visible area of the office. Near the tree, in the break room, by the reception desk, or in the conference room are all great options. A wrapped box and a printed list of needed items make it festive and easy for employees to participate.
Step 4
Send an email to staff, share the flyer, add a message to your company intranet, or post the details in communal spaces. Remind employees they can support local children in foster care by bringing one essential item instead of a white elephant gift.
Step 5
