A simple way to make a meaningful impact this holiday season

Host a Donation Drive at Home

Add Purpose to Your Party

Hosting a holiday donation drive at your family’s party is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to give back this season. Whether you are inviting friends for dinner, gathering neighbors for a seasonal get-together, or planning a celebration in a condo or apartment building, it only takes a donation basket by the tree to make a difference.

Instead of exchanging white elephant gifts or bringing another bottle of wine, guests can bring a single essential item to donate. Items such as pajamas, toiletries, diapers, baby wipes, socks, underwear, twin bedding, and baby and toddler supplies are always in demand.

Every item collected at your family, neighborhood, or condominium event remains in the local community and is delivered directly to Suncoast Voices for Children, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2004 that works in partnership with Child Protection Investigators to meet the unmet needs of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Pinellas and Pasco counties. They provide critical support when no other state or local resources are available, focusing on rapid assistance, prevention services, and helping stabilize children who are currently in foster care or at risk of entering the system.

By hosting a Holiday Care Challenge donation drive at your holiday party, you can make a meaningful and lasting impact within our community.

Simple Steps to Host at Home

Step 1

Register your donation drive using our simple online form at holidaycarechallenge.com/register so we know you are participating. This helps us track locations that may require a pickup in December.

Step 2

Invite your friends and family to your holiday party or event and let them know about the donation drive benefiting Suncoast Voices for Children.

Step 3

Encourage guests to bring items to donate to Voices for Children, such as diapers, baby wipes, sippy cups, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, or other daily essential items that children from infant to age 18 can use.

Step 4

Contact St. Pete Shopping Company at 727-893-8840 to arrange for the pickup of donations collected at your event, or contact Suncoast Voices for Children to coordinate a drop-off time.
