Support Local Children in Foster Care With a Simple Collection Effort
Host a Donation Drive at Chruch
Come Together To Help Local Kids
Hosting a donation drive at your Church, Temple, Mosque, or Synagogue is an easy and meaningful way to support children in foster care who need help right away. Whether you are gathering for weekly services, seasonal celebrations, youth programs, or community events, inviting members to bring one essential item can make a real difference for children living in Pinellas and Pasco counties.
Your place of worship can hold a collection at any time of the year, not only during the holidays. All donated items stay in the local community and are delivered directly to Suncoast Voices for Children, a nonprofit that provides urgent essentials to children who are abused, abandoned, or neglected. By hosting a drive, your place of worship helps ensure these children receive immediate support when no other resources are available.
Every pajama set, package of socks, baby item, and toiletry collected stays right here in our community and is delivered directly to Suncoast Voices for Children. This local 501c3 supports abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Pinellas and Pasco counties who are in foster care or at risk of entering the system. No matter the place of worship, your donation drive helps fill urgent gaps for local children and brings students together in a meaningful way through the Holiday Care Challenge.
Simple Steps to Host at Church
Step 1
Register your donation drive using our simple online form at holidaycarechallenge.com/register so we know you are participating. This helps us track locations that may require a pickup in December.
Step 2
Pick a timeframe that works for your place of worship. You can host a one day collection, a weeklong effort, or a drive that runs throughout a special event or seasonal observance.
Email us at team@HolidayCareChallenge.com and we will send you a flyer customized for your school that you can print and share online.
Step 3
Announce your drive through your bulletin, digital screens, newsletters, text groups, or community boards. Encourage everyone to bring one essential item from the needs list.
Step 4
Contact St. Pete Shopping Company at 727-893-8840 to arrange for the pickup of donations collected at your event, or contact Suncoast Voices for Children to coordinate a drop-off time.
